Thlaspi arvense, common name field pennycress, is a flowering plant in the Brassicaceae family. It has upright branches, arrow-shaped leaves and small white flowers. Similar to lunaria annua, but smaller, it’s famous for its round flat winged pods containing small brown-black seeds, which make attractive contrast. These particular mini seed pods are widely used in floral arrangements, its see-through effect and multi-layers make it unique as filler flower, adding structure to floral design. Preserved versions are available in white and light pink color, blending well to other preserved flowers and foliage.
